# Deploy

> Switch your agent on and choose where people reach it.

Open an agent and go to **Deploy**.

## Check it's ready

**Readiness** lists what the agent has configured: instructions, a model, its tools and their secrets, and its output format. A check that needs attention tells you what's missing. Click **Review configuration** to fix it on the **Build** tab.

<Note>
  Readiness is a checklist, not a gate: you can enable an agent with open items, but fix them first.
</Note>

## Switch it on

Under **Deployment status**, click **Enable agent**. The agent becomes **Active** and starts answering. **Disable agent** stops it.

## Choose a channel

Under **Channels** → **Web Chat**, once the agent is enabled:

| Option | What you get |
| - | - |
| **Share link** | A public chat page. **Copy** it into an email, a message or your social profiles. |
| **Embed code** | A script tag for your website. **Copy** it and paste it before `</body>` on every page where the chat should appear. |
| **QR code** | **View** it to print on a poster, a receipt or a parcel label. |

Anyone with the link can chat with the agent.

To answer inside your helpdesk instead, see [Connect Intercom](/grio-cx/connect-intercom). To change how the chat looks, see [Add chat to your website](/grio-cx/web-chat).
