# Drive

> The documents, links and text your agents answer from.

Drive is your agents' library. An agent only states facts it finds in the documents you give it, so this is where answer quality starts. In the menu it's **Drive** (Jen Studio) or **Knowledge Base** (Grio CX).

## Add content

Click **New** and choose:

| Option | Use it for | Details |
| - | - | - |
| **Upload a file** | PDFs, Word documents, text files | **PDF, DOCX or TXT**, up to 5 files at once, 45 MB each. Pick a folder or upload to the root. |
| **New link** | A web page or a whole help site | Add a title and URL. **Advanced Crawling Options** let you follow links (**Crawl Depth**, **Max URLs**) and use the site's sitemap. |
| **Add text** | A short answer, a policy, a price list | Paste it with a **Title**. Quickest way to fix a gap you spotted. |
| **New folder** | Grouping by topic or by agent | Name and description. |

<Tip>
  Several short documents, one topic each, work better than one long handbook. The agent finds the right passage more easily.
</Tip>

## Check it's ready

A file that's ready shows no status line. Otherwise you'll see one under its name:

| You see | What it means | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| **Processing…** | Being read and indexed. | Wait about a minute. |
| **Partly indexed · X of Y passages** | Some passages couldn't be indexed. | Use **Re-index** from the file's menu. |
| **Processing failed** | The file couldn't be read. | Check the file opens, then **Re-index** or upload it again. |
| **Processing stopped** | Indexing stalled. | **Re-index**. |
| **Not indexed yet** | Waiting to start. | Wait, or **Re-index**. |

Files that failed are never searched, so an agent can't answer from them.

## Give documents to an agent

Two ways, which add up:

* **Persona** → **Knowledge base**: tick the folders and files the agent may use. Ticking a folder includes everything in it.
* **Instructions** on the **Build** tab: type **@**, choose **Knowledgebase**, then a file, or **Tag entire folder**. Use this to say *which* document to use *when*: "For prices, use @Price list 2026."

## See what the agent would find

Click **Retrieve**, type a customer question and press Enter. You see the passages an agent would receive. If the right one isn't there, the document needs clearer wording or a document of its own.
